What is electrochemical marking etching?

Electrochemical marking is the fastest way to put a permanent identity on a conductive metal part. A controlled low-voltage current carries an electrolyte through a stencil and converts the surface chemistry in the exposed pattern — nothing is cut, melted or displaced.

That is why the process has stayed in service on surgical instruments, hydraulic fittings, turbine hardware and fasteners for decades: it identifies the part without altering it.

The process runs at ambient temperature with no mechanical force. No heat-affected zone, no recast layer, no residual stress — so hardness, temper, geometry and fatigue life are untouched. Marking happens last, on the finished part.

Portable and bench-top

The marking unit measures 160 × 160 × 65 mm and the complete system ships at 5 kg. No enclosure, no extraction, no laser safety program. It works on a table, and it travels to the part when the part cannot travel.
